In the words of Tom Waits, “brawler, bawler & bastard” born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States. But these days I dwell in Orlando, Florida with my girl and our two dogs living the quiet life of a peaceful warrior armed with a camera phone. I started doing mobile photography sometime around august 2011, I love the idea that I can take a photo and edit it with something that’s in my pocket and I always have with me. I am a contributor to a site focused on mobile photography called WeAreJuxt.com. We tell stories behind our photos, do tutorials, interviews with other artist and app/product reviews. Everything I shoot and edit, I do 100% iPhone from beginning to end. A lot of my photography is of urban exploration and abandoned places, but no matter the subject I usually keep it dark, detailed, moody and gritty. I like to think of myself as more of a photographer then a digital artist, and I try and preserve as much of the original photo as possible, without heavy apping. Blurring the lines between edited and minimal processing just seems a better fit for me. I’m seeing this art form of mobile photography as the next step in the evolution of photography, I’m curious to see where it goes, but I’m very proud of what it has become so far.
