After studying painting and printmaking at Pratt Institute, I owned and operated a Book Arts and Textiles studio in NYC. Working there for about 15 years, I divided my time between designing and creating one-of-a-kind books and teaching traditional bobbin lacemaking techniques.
But after we had our first child, I decided to put my career on hold.... and for a long time, I did not expect that I was ever going to be able to focus on my art again.
However, three years ago my husband and kids surprised me with an iPad and iPhone, insisting that I was “too old-fashioned” and needed to “get with the times.” These devices instantly rekindled my passion for painting, and introduced me to Photography.
I am both privileged and honored to be a co-columnist for "parallel || perspectives," on TheAppWhisperer. And my complete gallery can be found on iPhoneArt: http://www.iphoneart.com/users/2347/galleries.
