ARTIST STATEMENT: MARYJANE

Educated as a painter and printmaker I found my way to using those techniques on silk and velvet. I've been making my living for over 25 years as an artist and clothing designer. I am proud to say that my work has been collected around the world but mostly in the US. I have always enjoyed photography and have shot all my own work for web and advertising for years. It has been since the discovery of Iphoneography that my painting and photography have bonded. I love this new form for both documenting and making art in a new and exciting realm. I intend to move further with it and create works on paper. IPA is a fantastic community of serious artists who are open to sharing. It's the most stimulating envioronment I've found since college.
